David J. Chorzempa

David John Chorzempa passed away on October 17, 2017. Private family services will be held later. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After he graduated from high school and joined the Marines to serve his country. He went to Vietnam in 1966 and was with the 2nd battalion, 9th Marines. After serving 13 months there he went on to be sergeant of guard of President Johnson’s and Nixon’s helicopter. After his service he went on to college and received his BA in mathematics from Minnesota State University. David was active in Vietnam Veterans group. He followed his brother to Sandpoint in 1991 where he resided until his death. He is survived by Brothers Mark and Annie); John (and Jeannie); Sister Mary (and Ron). Also daughter Jennifer and 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
