Ursula H. Opferman, 81, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho on Friday, January 7, 2011.
Private services have been held.
Ursula was born in Woerlitz, Germany on Feb. 11, 1929, the daughter of Richard and Erna Degel. She received her schooling in Germany. She came to Boise, Idaho in 1954 and then became an American citizen in 1959. She had lived on different military bases, including a 3 year stay in Korea.
Ursula worked as an office nurse and records clerk in Seattle, and as a fuel accounts clerk in Alaska. In Sandpoint she worked for the Farmers Home Administration and at the Bonner County Prosecutors office until her retirement.
She was the last surviving child of Richard and Erna Degel and was preceded in death by her 4 children Christine, Patrick, Angela, and Lorraine.
She is survived by a grand daughter Michelle Rich in California.
