Edward Ray Porter, 62, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2007 in Sandpoint, Idaho.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 11, 2007 at Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel, 109 N. Division Ave., in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Ed was born on March 1, 1945 in Corona, New Mexico the son of Wade and Dora (Mariner) Porter. He grew up in Lincoln, Ca. and graduated from Lincoln High School. He served his country with the U.S. Airforce from 1966 to 1970.
Ed worked as a millwright for approx. 20 years, then for R & R logging for 18 years. He had also worked for the Honda Shop briefly before retirement.
Ed lived in Sagle, Idaho for 35 years and for 1 year at Elliot Bay, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, mechanics, fabrication and car building.
Ed is survived by his brother, sister, 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
