Evelyn May Moore

Evelyn may Moore, 91, passed away in Sandpoint, ID on Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am. Wednesday, April 6th, in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Pastor Steve Nickodemus, Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, will be officiating. Evelyn was born on January 14, 1920 in Tama, Iowa the daughter of William C and Lucy Bidwell. The family moved from Tama, Iowa to the Sandpoint area in 1930. The family lived on West Pine Street for many years. She married Lawrence James Shaffer on Feb. 19, 1940 and they later divorced. She has been a member of the Eagles Lodge Aeire #589, Auxiliary, since 1939, serving as a Past Madam President. Evelyn married Al Moore on April 11, 1989 and he preceded her in death. She enjoyed going to the Eagles lodge and dancing. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by 3 children Pat Holt in Laclede, ID; Bill (and Bobbie) Shaffer in Priest River, ID; Jim (and Linda) Shaffer in Old Town, ID; numerous grandchildren great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother Bill Bidwell and a sister Darleen Fateley.
