Hazel Rebecca Morrissey, 95, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 in Heron, Montana.
Her family will have a memorial celebrating her life later this summer in Corvallis, Oregon. She is watching over us from heaven with her family and is at peace, with her Lord.
Hazel was born n August 12, 1911 in Johnstown, Pa., the daughter of Irving and Minnie (Kelley) Muller. She married John B. Davis in 1931 and he preceded her in death in October 1957. They had 5 children, 3 girls and 2 boys.
Hazel married John V. Morrissey in January 1982, who preceded her in death in December 1983.
She was a retired LVN, graduated from Pasadena City College, Ca. She worked in Southern California for 18 years and moved to the State of Washington in 1977. Hazel worked at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton at 72 years old, retired, and did home health care. She moved to Bainbridge Island in 1989.
Because of her health she moved with her daughter Rebecca Morin in Heron, Montana in 2002.
Hazel enjoyed gardening and her favorite cat Jake and 2 Scotty dogs and her daughters horses and Rat Terriers dogs.
Hazel belonged to the First Christian Church of Bremerton, Wa. She also enjoyed playing the piano and singing gospel hymns.
She is survived by her daughters Rebecca Morin of Heron, Mt.; Sandra Van Meter (Ben) of Sherwood, Or.; Audrey J. Speakman (Don) of Glendora, Ca. and a son John H. Davis of Ocean Shores, Wa. Also survived by numerous grandchildren.
