Marjorie Mae Pratt, 90, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2011 in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 2:00 pm in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Osman, Kootenai Community Church.
Marjorie was born on January 23, 1921 in Sandpoint, Idaho the daughter of Albert and Lulu Thompson. She attended local schools here and graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1939.
After high school she attended the University of Idaho and graduated from Deaconess School of Medical Technology in 1945. She passed her national boards to become a Registered Medical Technologist. Margery worked in hospitals and doctor offices in Spokane, Washington, Kellogg, Idaho, and Anchorage, Alaska.
She married Joseph Pratt on March 2, 1947 in Spirit Lake and in 1951 they moved to Anchorage, Alaska to work. She used the money she made working in Alaska to purchase the family farm on Selle Road, returning to Sandpoint in 1970. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and her vegetable gardens.
Marjorie is survived by her children Gregory (Kimberlee) Pratt of Spokane, WA; and Mark (Sherri) Pratt of Anchorage, AK; four grandchildren, numerous great grand child, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph, her parents, a daughter Laurel Wagers and three brothers.
