Dennis Peter Coffrain

Dennis Peter Coffrain, 67, died on June 21, 2011. He loved living on “the mountain.” Memorial services will be conducted at 6:00pm, Sunday, June 26, 2011 in the Sandpoint First Christian Church. Pastor Jared Horton and Pastor Mike Couch will be officiating. In his young life he worked as a volunteer at the Museum of Man in San Diego categorizing artifacts. He, also, belonged to San Diego Gem and Rock Club. He, highly, enjoyed cooking, ancient history, biblical and Egyptian archeology, fishing, hunting, formula one car racing, and riding his ATV in the wilderness. His sons were his great joy. He loved to tell stories and he was very involved in the Real Life Newport Church. He loved helping people. In his professional life he was part of the United Steel Workers. He worked in Real Estate and outside sales for Vanderfords Sporting Goods store ownership. Retirement was a great time for Denny. He was always busy fixing or making a project. He was a good father and was proud of his sons Ian and Hans. I, Sylvia, will miss him dreadfully. He would send flowers to my work; no reason needed and cook me wonderful meals. I learned more about Akhenaten, the heretic king and all things archeology. Precious are the saints in the eyes of the Lord. Denny has been gathered to his people in heaven.
