David Martin Downing

David Martin Downing, 30, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 26, 2011. Private family services will be held later. David was born on July 18, 1980 in Palm Springs, California the son of Bill and Sharon Downing. He moved to the Sandpoint area in 1986, attending Sandpoint Schools and graduated in 1998. He played the clarinet in the band. He enjoyed sailing with the family and was the designated “dingy” driver. He also liked “role playing card games,” playing black jack, poker, volleyball, and snowboarding. He is survived by his parents Bill and Sharon Downing in Sandpoint, his brother William J. Downing III also in Sandpoint. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
