Constance J. "Connie" Bennett

Constance J. “Connie” Bennett, 78, of Sandpoint, died Sunday, July 17, 2011 at her home. She was born Aug. 13, 1932 in San Diego, CA the daughter of Guy and Lydia Bennett. She was raised in the Long Beach, CA area where she graduated high school. She later graduated from college in Los Angeles. She was a social worker for many years, and served as director of welfare in both Sierra and Inyo counties in California. Following a severe automobile accident, which forced her retirement, she lived in Canyon Lake, CA for a short time. She then lived with her daughter throughout the US as she traveled for Home Depot, finally settling in Sandpoint in 2004. Connie is survived by her daughter: Rosie Bennett of Sandpoint; granddaughter Winter Bennett of Sandpoint. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother. Memorial services will be conducted on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the Cocolalla Cowboy Church immediately following morning worship, around 12:30PM., with Pastor Steve Bradshaw, officiating.
