Jack K. Trone, 88, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho on Monday, June 11, 2007.
Private family services will be held.
Jack was born on Oct. 16, 1918 in Los Angeles, California, attending schools in Long Beach, California. In 1939 he started a graphic arts business in California.
During WW II he served with the US Army Air Corp in the Pacific Theatre of operations. Following the war he returned to Long Beach and married Norma Robinson on Nov. 29, 1952 in Las Vegas, NV.
He was a lithographer and printer, owning and operating the Imperial Press in Long Beach, CA for many years. He sold the business in 1967 and moved to Sagle, Idaho in 1968. In Sagle he established the Hillside Press, and did custom printing until 1992 when he closed the business and moved to Sandpoint.
Jack was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite Bodies and the Shrine, in Long Beach, CA. He enjoyed the history of printing, cars, motorcycles, and photography, and music. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Norma Trone in Sandpoint, his children, Donna Trone of Sagle; Dick Sutkowy of Colburn; Gail Roberts of Conner, MT; and Denyse Tolbert of Sagle; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Jack, and a brother Bill.
