Janet Ann Mason, 63, of Sagle, Idaho passed away Monday, August 29, 2011 at her home following a two year battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Memorial services will be conducted 10:30AM, Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Coffelt's Funeral Chapel, 109 N. Division, Sandpoint, Idaho. Inurnment will follow in the Blanchard, Idaho cemetery. She was born January 10, 1948 in La Jolla, CA the daughter of Robert and Clara Parker Galbraith. She grew up and was educated in Everett, WA, graduating Cascade High School in 1966. She later attended the Northwest School of Business. On August 27, 1971 she married Gerald Mason in Everett, WA. Together they raised their family in Everett, and in 1997 moved to Sagle, Idaho. Janet was a meticulous, devoted, loving mother. She was a caring private lady who loved her Lord. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing, writing poetry, and doing home improvement projects with her husband. However the greatest joy she found was in being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Janet is survived by her husband Gerald of Sagle, Idaho: 2 children: Shawn Gerald (Mary) Mason of Everett, WA, Shannon Irene Mason of Snohomish County, WA; 2 boys she helped raise when they needed a mother: Alan White of Casper, Wyoming, Steve Sutton of Arlington, WA; 5 grandchildren: Chelsie Irene Allen in the U.S. Air Force, Kyle Adam Cummings of Seattle, WA, Jamie Lynn White of Casper, WY, Ayden Allen and Cruz Braven Allen both of Everett, WA; 1 brother: Robert Galbraith; 1 sister: Linda DuBois both of Bellingham, WA; and her beloved pets: Lucy the cat, Moki the dog, and Scooter the turtle. She was preceded in death by her parents.
