Marie K. Spraker, 96, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho on Saturday,
Sept. 17, 2011.
Funeral services will be announced later.
Marie was born on Dec. 30, 1914 in Mountain Home, Idaho, the daughter of Bill and Esther Caldwell. She was the oldest of 4 children and was a fun loving, Irish lass, that loved to dance.
On February 15, 1937 she married Bill Spraker in Blackfoot, Idaho. For many years she worked, with her sister, at the Atomic Energy Site near Idaho Falls. She and Bill owned a small farm at Blackfoot, Idaho where they raised purebred Charolais Cattle.
Following Bill’s retirement in 1973 the family moved to a small ranch near Colburn and continued raising their cattle. They moved to this area to be closer to their son and his family. Marie enjoyed her farm and her family.
She is survived by her son Mel (and Dorothy) Spraker in Ponderay; a grandson Jay Spraker in Rathdrum; a granddaughter Jody Azavedo in Coeur d’Alene; and 4 great grandchildren.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, two brothers, and one sister.
