Dale Edward Viall passed away February 11, 2010, (at his home in Clearfield Utah) nine days after being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer for which he was unable to undergo treatment due to poor health resulting from a massive stroke twelve years earlier.
On February 26, 2010 fifteen days after Dale’s passing (his wife) Donna was diagnosed with stage 4 inoperable pancreatic cancer. Donna was able to undergo chemotherapy treatments for several months until the end of May 2011 when her body could not handle anymore. She continued to battle with this horrible disease for four more months. On September 24, 2011 Donna Rae Viall passed away peacefully at her home in Clearfield Utah.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Mary (Phister) Viall and his brother Charles Viall. Donna is preceded in death by her parents Edmund J. and Marguerite E. (Robertson) Sisson
Dale and Donna are survived by their children Sandra (Viall) and William Gore of Meridian Idaho, Dale Jr and Tanya Viall of Newport Washington and Grandson William Gore Jr. who is currently serving in the US Navy.
Dale is survived by his sisters Virginia MacKenzie and Dolly Bolstad, and his brothers Wayne Viall, Butch Viall and RayDean Viall. Donna is survived by her sisters Gloria Hayes, Linda Rassier, Beverly Paxton, Norma Chisholm and Carmen Oakes, and her brother Donald Sisson as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Graveside service will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Sandpoint, Idaho on Saturday October 8, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Immediately following the service there will be a gathering to celebrate the lives of Dale and Donna at the First Baptist Church “greenhouse” on Michigan Street in Sandpoint Idaho.
