Edna Mae (Poelstra) Lindstrom

August 19, 1932 — October 7, 2011

Edna Mae (Poesltra) Remsburg Lindstrom, 79, of Lewiston, a former long time Bonner County resident went to be with her Lord and Savior, her father, mother, and 2 brothers on Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 in Lewiston. Memorial services will be conducted 11:00AM, Friday, October 14, 2011 at Coffelt Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Jon Pomeroy of the Sandpoint Church of God, officiating. Inurnment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Immediately following the service there will be a potluck at the VFW Hall for family and friends. Edna was born August 19, 1932 in Farmington, South Dakota the daughter of Elmer and Lena Poelstra. In 1941 the family moved to Manhattan, MT where they lived until 1945 when they moved to Bonner County where she and her 6 siblings were raised. In 1950 Edna graduated Sandpoint High School. She married Edgar Daniel Lee Remsburg on Sept. 27, 1951. Together they raised 7 children on Lakeshore Drive in Sagle. Lee worked for the U.S.Forest Service Trail Unit and was transferred to the Nordman Area north of Priest Lake so they lived there for a short time In 1982 shortly after she and Lee were divorced she moved Lewiston, Idaho where she was married for a short time to Willie Lindstom. Edna was involved with several local businesses through the years in Sandpoint. She managed The Pines Trailer Park, S & W Motel, Dairy Depot, and the Algoma Mini Mart. She loved her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening and canning, loved to sing Karaoke and having fun. She would have adopted every stray animal if she could. She had a warm and loving heart. She will be missed by all who knew her. Edna is survived by all of her children: Leanna Goodrow of Soldotna, AK, Daniel Remsburg of Florissant, CO, Dale Remsburg of Sandpoint, ID, David Remsburg of Cul de Sac, ID, Donald Remsburg of Spirit Lake, ID, Dana Remsburg of Moscow, ID, Leona Blaker of Lewiston, ID; 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters and 2 brothers: Ellena Brown, Antoni Rivers, Renald and Arie Poelstra all of Sandpoint, ID, many more distant family members and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Poelstra; her mother, Lena Poelstra; her 2 brothers: Johnnie Poelstra, and Cornie Poelstra (of the Poelstra Dairy on Selle Rd) and her 1st husband Lee Remsburg. The family suggests in memory of Edna to plant a rose bush.
