Evelyn L. Burt

Evelyn L. Burt, 86 of Sandpoint passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 at Hearthstone Village. Private family services will be conducted at Coffelt Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Steve Nickodemus, officiating. Interment will take place in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Evelyn was born Feb. 26, 1925 in Sandpoint, Idaho the daughter of Horace and Hattie Ridley. She grew up and attended schools in Sandpoint, graduating Sandpoint High School in 1943. After graduation she worked as a clerk at Farragut Naval Station for a time before moving to Seattle where she worked for Boeing Aircraft. While there she met Ralph Burt and they were married in Sandpoint on August 16, 1947. Evelyn enjoyed her flower garden, cooking, baking, and was a member of the Eagles Lodge Auxiliary #589. She is survived by her children: Sable (John) Neece of Sandpoint, Rob (Yvonne) Burt of Spokane, WA; 3 grandchildren: Andrea Neece of Scottsdale, AZ, Austin Burt of Spokane, WA, Shiloh West of Las Vegas, NV; by 1 brother: Les (Neva) Ridley of Salt Lake City, UT and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
