Robert Paul Zimpel

Robert Paul Zimpel, 62, lost his battle with cancer on October 16, 2011. Robert was born in Centralia, WA and grew up in California. He served in the United States Army from 1967 until 1970. He and his family moved to Sandpoint in 1982. After doing horse logging for several years he spent the last 20 plus years installing heating systems in homes and businesses throughout the area. He will be forever loved and missed by his best friend and wife of 42 years, Mary Ziegler, his daughter, Robin Zimpel and his grandson, Brandon Durr. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his name to Bonner General Hospital or Bonner General Home Health/Hospice.
