Dalene Janice Carlson aka Day Day, age 23 of Sandpoint, Idaho passed away August 7th in Stockton, California.
Memorial services will be conducted 11:00AM, Monday, November 14, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 601 S. Lincoln, Sandpoint, Idaho, with Father Dennis C. Day, officiating. Inurnment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held later in Stockton, California.
Dalene was born on February 22, 1988 in French Camp, California to Narlene Flagg of Sandpoint and David Carlson of Red Bluff, California. Dalene went to Stockton Unified School District in California before moving to Sandpoint, Idaho. She attended Southside Elementary in Cocolalla and Washington Elementary in Sandpoint. During her sophomore year she attended Placer High School in Auburn, California. She graduated from Sandpoint High School in 2006. During High School and after graduating, Dalene worked for various restaurants here in Sandpoint. Before her death Dalene had relocated to Stockton, California to further her work force and had planned to attend San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton this fall to major in Child Development.
Dalene loved to hang out with her friends and have fun. Her love for a variety of music was not far from her side. She loved to snowboard, fish, and go camping, the Mud Boggs and football. Her favorite team was the Pittsburg Steelers. Her favorite activity was to walk and play with her favorite animal, her dog Maddie. Dalene will be truly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents Dalene is survived by her sister: Narja M. Goonan. She is an aunt to Caitln Richards, Devin, Jacqueln, Justin, and Ian Goonan. She is the niece to Loretta Wiebe, Robert, Ronald, and Darrel Azarcon, Margaret Baker and Joseph Azarcon. She is cousin to Jenna and Krista Wiebe, Jason Azarcon (Stephanie), Megan Azarcon, Beth Gross (Michael), Loren Azarcon, Sean (Sally), Daniel, Michael and Kristen Azarcon, Kourtney Wright, Joseph, Denelle and Cesilee Baker. She is the granddaughter of the Late Nazario and Janice Azarcon. She is also the niece of the late Glen Alan Azarcon and Devina Grace Azarcon.
