Jeffrey Carl Maass, 57, of Sandpoint died suddenly Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 at Bonner General Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at a later time.
Jeffrey was born Sept. 25, 1954 in Torrance, CA the son of Eric and Jean Farr Maass. He was raised and educated in Manhattan Beach, CA where graduated high school in 1972. He worked as parts manager for a Kubota dealership, worked in construction and in 1994 moved to Sandpoint.
He enjoyed photography, NASCAR, and watching football. He also donated many hours to Habitat for Humanity.
Jeffrey is survived by his mother: Jean Maass of Sandpoint; 2 brothers: Ronald Maass of Willits, CA, Eric (Teri) Maass of Ventura, CA, several nieces and nephews including Ron Bennett of Hayden Lake, ID; and by great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, 1 son: Christopher and by 1 sister, Gloria Linvall.
As an extension of Jeffrey’s compassion for humanity he requested his eyes be donated to the Eye Bank for those needing corneal transplants.
