Betty Louise Gage

Betty Louise Gage, 73, of Sagle, passed away Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011 at Kootenai Medical Center. A gathering celebrating Betty’s life will be held from 2:00PM-4:00PM on Friday November 18, 2011at the Edgewater Conference Room. She was born in Harrisburg, Arkansas on August 2, 1938 the daughter of John and Marvin Beaird. As a child the family relocated to Madera, CA where she met and fell in love with Edward (Jack) Gage whom she married on April 30, 1955. Together they had 4 beautiful children: Linda (Jorie) Gaines, Lorie Ann Gage, James Edward Gage and Billy Warren Gage. In 1971 they decided to move to Sandpoint to raise their family. Betty spent most of her time being a loving mother and wife. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading and caring for her beloved dogs Missy and Buttons. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Lori Ann and her granddaughter Katie. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Jack Gage, her daughter: Jorie Gaines; her sons: Jim (Kari) Gage, Bill (Pam) Gage; brothers: Guy (Nida) Beaird, Newt (Mavene) Beaird, Bill Beaird, John (Betty Jo) Beaird; her sister: Bonnie (Pablo) Alleman; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many grandchildren: Crissy, Sara, Daniel, Kendra, Lena, Dani, Jackie, Abbie, Randi and 8 great grandchildren. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
