Beverly Kay Knapp, 64, passed away in Spokane, Washington on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011.
Memorial services will be conducted in the Southside Community Church at 10 am
on Friday, Dec. 23rd.
Inurnment will follow in the Westmond Cemetery.
Beverly was born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on June 18, 1947 the daughter of Amison and Emma (Dale) Hensler. She grew up in the Coeur d’Alene area, attending local schools. She had married Kenneth Knapp and they were later divorced.
She worked for the Post Falls Police Department, also working as an EMT and for Search and Rescue in Post Falls. In 1995 she moved to Cocolalla and went to work for the Sandpoint Police Department.
Beverly has worked for the Ponderay Police Department for 11 years, as a receptionist, and part time for the City of Ponderay. She enjoyed her work. her campfires on the beach, her gardens, and being outdoors.
Surviving are her four children Chuck Knapp of Post Falls, ID; Russ Knapp and Wess Knapp, both in Cocolalla; and Angela Clark in Post Falls, ID; her grandchildren Sara Houser, Dustin, Courtney and Devin Green, Trista Walker, Alexis Knapp, Tailyn and Carrigan Clark; and her two sisters Donna Anderson and Shirley King.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Howard, two sisters Sharon and Doris.
