Jason D. Maxey, 37, slipped quietly from this life on December 23, 2011.
Memorial services will be conducted 1:00PM, Saturday, April 21, 2012 in Pack River Cemetery.
Jason was born in Sandpoint, Idaho and graduated from Sandpoint Senior High School in 1992. Jason had a gentle soul; he loved his family and friends. He dedicated his life to being there for all of them. His adventurous spirit was spent skiing, snowboarding, and riding dirt bikes and BMX bikes. Tinkering with Volkswagens and other cars was an ongoing project he enjoyed since he got his first green bug. He and his dad were always building various jumps, half-pipes and BMX tracks in the backyard for skateboarding and dirt bikes. He and his dad enjoyed fishing and watching their favorite shows together. He enjoyed spending time with his niece Molly, building bonfires to roast marshmallows and burn all the sticks. He enjoyed cooking for Molly his special French Fries and burgers.
Jason is survived by his parents: Steve Maxey and Leslie Maxey of Sagle; his sister: Sarah and Mike Lee and their children Molly, and James of Post Falls and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Barbara and Leanna Porath locally. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Les and Jean Kurrus and Velma Cartier.
