Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the VFW Hall on Pine and Division, starting at 5:30pm. It will be a potluck with donations accepted.
Scott was born May 12, 1967 in Sandpoint, Idaho. He graduated from Sandpoint High School in the class of 1986. Shortly after high school Scott moved to the Tacoma, WA area where pursued a roofing job. Afterwards he moved back to Sandpoint where he worked at Harold’s Foods (IGA) for over 20 years until its doors were closed. Later after that, he went to work for Thorne Research for a short time. In another short stint he went to work for Sandpoint and Bonner Cab Services. His latest jobs were at Lightning Lube for over five and a half years, and he had a side job at the Loggers Daughter Laundry, where he did maintenance on the machines. One of his favorite jobs was as a volunteer firefighter for the Westside Fire Protection District for six years.
Scott loved the outdoors. Fishing and camping were hobbies of his, but BBQ’s were his biggest. It didn’t matter rain, snow or sunshine he was out cooking away. Scott was the kind of guy that would give the shirt off his back for you and never ask for anything in return. He will be loved and missed by everyone.
Scott is survived by his son Brandon Hartman of Sandpoint; other family members Vickie Womack, Linda Remsburg, Jani Thomas, Fred Hartman Jr., Diann Loosemore, Paul Hartman and Dawn Hartman.
Preceding him in death were his parents Fred and Marge Hartman.
