Alfred Robert (Fred) Sadewic passed away Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012 at his home.
Memorial services for Fred will be conducted at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church on Sunday, February 5, 2012 during the 8:30AM service.
He was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 13, 1923. He received his masters from Illinois Institute of Technology and took a job at Bingham Willamette where he worked for most of his career. This work included managing an operation in Vancouver, Canada and doing business internationally in India, Japan and China.
Fred was actively involved in his community in Portland, Oregon serving on the Board of Providence Hospital, organizing a chapter of professional engineers, and traveling abroad to places including Russia as part of a retired executive’s organization.
He loved to travel, read, and play tennis. Fred and wife Almira recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their sons Craig, Randy and families. In his last years he enjoyed life in Sandpoint which included playing bridge, family gatherings and joking about how young he was.
In addition to his wife and two sons Randy (Nao) Sadewic, Craig (Michelle) Sadewic he is survived by 2 grandchildren: Taylor and Owen. He was preceded in death by 1 son Gary.
