Vernetta Sue Kelly, 60 of Sandpoint passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Memorial services will be conducted 1:00PM, Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 1715 N. Boyer, in Sandpoint.
She was born May 25, 1951 in St. Louis, MO the daughter of Vernon and Wilma (Albert) Stratton. When she was just an infant the family moved to Oregon where she was raised. She attended schools in Salem and graduated from high school there in 1969. Vernetta worked for a time at JC Penney’s and later at UPS.
On August 13, 1988 she married David Kelly in Salem and they continued living there until 2002 when they moved to Samuels, Idaho where they built their home.
Vernetta was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and baking.
She is survived by her husband, David; 5 children: Lesa, Trishana, Keonna, Toby, David; 9 grandchildren; her parents: Vernon and Wilma Stratton, and 2 brothers: Richard and Randy Stratton. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
