Laurene Lillian Boehm, 87, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2007 in Spokane, WA.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 am, Saturday, September 8, 2007 in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel, 109 N. Division Ave., in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Pastor Bob Nale, Clark Fork Lutheran Church, will officiate.
Laurene was born in Princeton, Minnesota on August 3, 1920, the daughter of Earl and Adelia Olson. She received her schooling, and graduated from Normal School, in St. Cloud, Minnesota. On April 5, 1940 she married John Boehm in Princeton, Minnesota.
She taught school in Minnesota until moving to the Clark Fork area in 1947. She taught in the Clark Fork School system and continued her education through correspondence courses. In 1980 she retired and moved to Sandpoint. In 1998 she moved to Spokane and at the time of her death resided with Roy Pearson in the Spokane Valley.
Laurene was a member of the Clark Fork Lutheran Church and loved her vegetable gardens and her flower gardens. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by 4 children Lois Frazier, of Post Falls, ID; Shirley Whitaker of Spokane Valley, WA; Don Boehm of Post Falls, ID; and Alan Boehm of Lolo, MT; 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren, and her brother Merlin Kellar of Osseo, Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, her sister Lucille, a daughter Beverly, and a grandson John.
