Dale Elaine Linstrum

December 15, 1911 — April 9, 2012

Dale Elaine Linstrum, 100, of Sandpoint passed away Monday, April 9, 2012 at Luther Park. Memorial services will be conducted 10:00AM, Monday, April 16, 2012 at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Pastor Steve Nickodemus officiating. She will be inurned with her husband in the Pinecrest Memorial Park niche wall. Everyone is invited to a reception for Dale at Luther Park immediately following the service Dale was born Dec. 15, 1911 in Covina, CA the daughter of George and Gail Leech Covert. She moved with her family to Merced where she graduated high school. She later attended college in Covina, CA and worked for a time at the electric company in Visalia, CA. While there she met Clarence “Lindy” Linstrum and they were married on Feb. 18, 1938 in Fresno, CA. They celebrated their 72nd anniversary before his passing in 2010. In 1945 they moved to Arryo Grande, CA where they lived until the early 1960’s. They later became involved with New Tribes Mission. They also served with New Tribes Missions in Sanford, FL for 12 years. They moved to Sandpoint in June of 2008 where they attended Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Dale was a devout lady with a strong faith who lived out her faith among all with whom she came in contact. She enjoyed flowers especially roses. Dale is survived by 3 children: Priscilla Weiss of Aptos, CA, Donna Jelsvik of Sandpoint, ID, John Linstrum of Spokane, WA; 5 grandchildren, and 6 grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by 3 brothers. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorials be given to Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church Building Fund, 1900 West Pine, Sandpoint, Idaho 83864.
