Mae Marie Beers

Mae Marie Beers, 76, of Sagle passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Valley Vista. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00AM, Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the Westmond LDS Chapel with Bishop Ben Thompson conducting. Friends may call at Coffelt Funeral Chapel on Monday from noon to 6:00PM. Interment will follow in Westmond Cemetery. Mae was born Nov. 27, 1935 in Sandpoint the daughter of George and Blanche Hatcher Tilton. She attended Bonner County Schools starting with the 1st grade at the old Midas school. She married Jesse Beers on June 4, 1951 in Coeur d’ Alene. She worked as a full time mom also helping raise the sheep and cattle on the farm. In later years she worked for the Lakeside Inn. Mae was a member of the Westmond LDS Church, a former member of the Westmond Grange, and was a 4-H leader for 12 years with the Westmond Live Wires. Mae enjoyed knitting, working in her gardens and flowers and reading. She is survived by 4 children: Richard Beers, Bonnie (Steve) Powell both of Sagle, Jack (Susan) Beers of Blackfoot, ID and Diane (Gary) Dodd of McCleary, WA; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents.
