Wesley Gordon Steele, 84, passed away in Sandpoint, ID on Thursday, October 4, 2007.
Memorial services were held on Sunday, Oct. 7th in the Clark Fork Seventh Day Adventist Church, Clark Fork, Idaho.
Wesley was born in San Jose, California on August 31, 1923. He graduated from high school at the Golden Gate Academy in San Francisco, CA. During WW II he served with the US Army, in the European Theatre, as a surgical technician. On Sept 11, 1949 he and Nadine Leer were married in Lodi, CA. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Pacific Union College in Angwin, CA, in 1951.
He taught at Junior Academies in Northern California prior to moving to Sandpoint, ID in 1965. He later taught in Jr. Academies in the Northwest and 1n 1993 returned to North Idaho living in Bonners Ferry, ID. He moved to Clark Fork, ID in September 2007. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Clark in Bonners Ferry, ID.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nadine Steele, in Clark Fork, ID; 4 children Douglas (and Jacki) Steele of Clark Fork, ID; Jeffrey (and Sue) Steele of Olympia, WA; Donna Steele of Moyie Springs, ID; and Robert (and Susie) Steele of Parma, ID. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren Jim and Steven and 2 great grandchildren Reuben and Bethany and a sister Yvonne Kesler of Grants Pass, OR.
His parents, 6 sisters, and 1 brother preceded him in death.
