Carol E Pedersen

Carol Pedersen, 76, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho on Dec. 5, 2007. Graveside memorial services will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 10th in the Hope Cemetery. Dale Coffelt will conduct the service. Carol was born in Lemon, South Dakota on September 26, 1931 the daughter of Anton and Lillian Kom. She moved to the Sandpoint area, as a child, attending local schools and graduating from Sandpoint High School in 1950. She married Richard (Dick) Pedersen on Feb. 13, 1950, in Sandpoint, Idaho. They later moved to Hope, Idaho raising strawberries and peaches. They were known for Pedersen's-U-Pick strawberries. She enjoyed farming and sharing a good laugh. She was a member of the Red Hats in Sandpoint and loved being “Grandma and G.G.” Carol is survived by 4 children Dale (and Ken) Alexander of Spokane Valley, WA; Diane Brockus of Hope, ID; Dick Pedersen of Hope, ID; and Deana Pedersen (and husband Kerry Foresman) or Missoula, MT; 2 grandsons Bryan (and Sandy) Brockus of Clark Fork, ID; Aaron (and Robyn) Brockus of Port Angelus, WA; and 4 great grand children. Four sisters Lillian Harshman of Sedro Wooly, WA; Vivian Garraughty of Lakeview, WA; Betty Johnson of Samuels, ID; Janice Palmer of Lewiston, Idaho; two brothers George Kom of Pocatello, ID; and Frank Kom of Bakersfield, CA. Her parents and her husband Dick preceded her in death. Memorials may be made to the Hope City Cemetery or to a charity of choice, in memory of Carol
