Margaret "Peggy" Jean Baranski

Margaret, Peggy, (Thiele) Baranski was born May 31, 1950 to Scott and Jean Thiele in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She died on October 1, 2012 after an 18 month battle with breast cancer. Peggy graduated from Burnsville high school in 1968. She attended Augsburg College and the University of Minnesota. She met her husband David in Alta Utah and they were married in 1970. They moved to Sandpoint, Idaho in 1973. Their son, Conor, was born December 2, 1985. Peggy and David built numerous houses in Pack River, Janish Drive, Forever View Drive, and Hope. Peggy served on the Striker soccer board for many years along with Ann Kritzrck and Todd Brown under the directorship of Tom Atencio. Peggy enjoyed biking weaving, kayaking, reading and she was one of the founding members of the North Idaho Book club, which has been in existence for 15 years. Peggy was the local traveling piano teacher and taught students from upper Pack River to Rapid Lightening. She worked for Selkirk General Surgery group for 30 years. Peggy is survived by her husband of 42 years, David, her son Conor, her sisters Mary (Ralph) Zimmermann and Joanne Cornehl, and numerous nieces and nephews, and their pugs Winston and Jezebel. She was preceded in death by her sister Nancy Pastrano and her mother and father. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite cancer research foundation to help fight this horrible disease to which we have lost so many friends and family. A potluck memorial gathering to celebrate Peggy’s life will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 Saturday, October 13 at Oden Hall grange, 134 Sunnyside Rd, Sandpoint ID.
