Nancy Singleton, 71, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho on Wednesday, December 5, 2007. She was a lifetime Sandpoint area resident.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 15th in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel.
Nancy was born in Sandpoint, Idaho on August 20, 1936, the daughter of Samuel and Edith Pierce. She attended the Hope School and Sandpoint High School. For many years she worked, as a waitress for the Travelers and at the Pastime Cafe. She later took health care training and worked as a nurses aid, in home health care, retiring in 2002.
She attended the Gardenia Center and enjoyed being a “Mom and Grandma.”
She is survived by – her son Buck (and Shannon) Hinkle of Coeur d’Alene, ID; her daughter Candace Sue Singleton of Sandpoint, ID; five grandchildren Melissa Singleton of Sacramento, CA; Amanda Hinkle of Los Angeles, CA; Drake Hinkle and Riley and Hunter Schaffer of Coeur d’Alene, ID. Three sisters Nina Conn of Coeur d’Alene, ID; Margie Pierce of Sandpoint, ID; and Beverly Pennington of Coeur d’Alene, ID; two brothers Robert Pierce of St Anthony, ID; and William Pierce of Coeur d’Alene, ID. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters Sylvia Rhodes, and Colleen Hunt.
