Alene (Burnett) Foster

Alene (Burnett) Foster, 69, passed away in Vancouver, WA on Dec. 24, 2007. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00AM, Monday, Dec. 31st, in the Evergreen Memorial Chapel, Vancouver, WA. Committal services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Jan. 3rd, in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Alene was born in Coeur d’Alene, ID on April 28, 1938 the daughter of Art and Myrtle Burnett. She moved to the Oden area, of Sandpoint, in 1943. She attended the Oden School, the Hope School and graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1957. She married Duane Jones of Westmond, ID; they had 4 children and later divorced. She moved to Forest Grove, OR and married John Foster and they had a set of twins. She enjoyed playing the piano, listening to piano music, and doing her crafts. She is survived by 2 sons and 4 daughters – Dean (Debbie) Jones of Redmond, OR; Preston (Liz) Foster of San Francisco, CA; Anita (Steve) McCarty of Vancouver, WA; Lorna (Mark) Murray of Cottonwood, AZ; Donna (Rick) Lewis of Vancouver, WA; Polly (Ken) Vilhauer of Vancouver, WA; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her mother Myrtle Burnett of Sandpoint, ID; a sister Delores (Clint) Campbell of Sandpoint, ID; five brothers Don (Janice) Burnett of Banks, OR; Mel (Judy) Burnett of Libby, MT; Lyle (Laurie) Burnett of Spokane, WA; Lee (Allison) Burnett of Sandpoint, ID; Herb (Kim) Burnett of Heber, UT; She was preceded in death by her father Art and a brother Kenneth.
