Lillian Gina (Handegaard) Johnson, born Lake Park, MN, Jan. 20, 1910, departed this world, Nov. 3, 2012 in Sandpoint, Idaho.
As a young child her family moved to Tacoma, WA where she graduated high school and attended Pacific Lutheran Academy. She married Emil Johnson in 1934 and they settled in Grants Pass, OR in 1949 where she lived for the next 40 years. Emil preceded her in death in 1985.
Grandma was an accomplished artist, baker, pianist and seamstress. She was the embodiment of love and compassion and never spoke ill on anyone. 1st Corinthians chapter 13 was her mantra. A woman of deep faith she never doubted she would see her Lord and departed loved ones.
Left behind is her daughter, Emmy Whitman of Grants Pass, OR; grandsons: Craig and Erik Kreiger of Sandpoint, ID who spent countless hours taking grandma on outings and to her appointments; grandson Rory Taylor of Lake Sammammish, WA and two her granddaughters, Krista Kreiger Hurst of Naples, ID, Regan Taylor of Portland, OR. She also leaves behind seven great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
Rest in Peace Grandma. You were loved and you will be missed.
