Olga Daar, 98, of Sandpoint passed away at Luther Park on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2012.
A reception for Olga will be held from 2:00-4:00PM on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 in the activities room on the 2nd floor at Luther Park, 510 S. Olive in Sandpoint.
She was born August 4, 1914 in Detroit, MI the daughter of Jacob and Marie Mastrokolovich Brayovich. She was reared and educated in Detroit and on Jan. 23, 1940 married her beloved husband Charles Daar. They celebrated 72 years together. Olga and Charles moved to La Habra, CA in 1957 where they resided until moving to Sandpoint, Idaho in 2000 to be near two of their children.
After her marriage she became a full time homemaker and mother and loved every minute of taking care of her husband and children. She especially loved babies so as each grandchild and great grandchild came along she treasured every moment with them.
Her hobbies were crafting and travel. The family traveled extensively through most of the US and Canada.
She is survived by her husband Charles of Sandpoint: 3 children: Roger (Sherry) Daar of Sagle, ID, Frances (Emmanuel) Llado of Bend, OR, Linda (Rick) Watt of Laclede, ID; 7 grandchildren: Roger Daar, Jr. of Spring, TX, Charles Daar of Tomball, TX, Kathleen Franzke of Van Nuys, CA, Sharleen Cuevas of Bend, OR, Jason Centorbi of Newport, WA, Chelsea Popaleo of Sandpoint, ID, Sarah Hess of Dover, ID; and by 11 great grandchildren.
