John Thomas Siple

John Thomas Siple, 96, passed away at his home in Clark Fork, Idaho on Saturday, December 15, 2012. Family services will be conducted later in the Clark Fork Cemetery. John was born in Homer City, PA on April 21, 1916. He graduated from high school in PA and married Sarah Jane Graham on Sept 6, 1937 in New Castle, PA. He moved to Clark Fork in 1950 and worked construction on the Clark Fork River dams and the dams in the Columbia Basin. He later worked for the US Forest service cruising timber prior to becoming a small sales representative. He enjoyed big game hunting and fishing in the area. He is survived by his son Jack (and Lynn) Siple in Clark Fork, ID; 2 grandchildren John L. Siple in Washougal, WA; Nicole R. Siple in Jerome, ID; 2 great grandchildren Samantha Siple and Maddison Olson; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
