Betty Jeanne Geiss, 83, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013 in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Memorial services will be held in the spring.
Betty was born on Sept. 28, 1929 in Camp Crook, South Dakota the daughter of Elmer and Beulah Kile. She moved to Bonner County in 1932, attending Bonner County schools and graduating from Sandpoint High School in 1947. She lived in Moses Lake, WA for over 20 years, working as an LPN in the Samaritan Hospital. In 2000 she returned to the Sandpoint area.
She was a “stay at home mom” who liked to take care of her family. She enjoyed crocheting, and in later years took up cross country skiing.
She is survived by her son Bruce (and Tracy Valliant) Geiss in Sagle, ID; her daughter Barbara (and Nelson) Fox in Wasilla, AK; 3 grandchildren Kara Carter Chase, Joseph William Carter and Kile William Geiss; 4 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Jim Kile in Sagle, ID; Leonard Kile in Odessa, WA; her sister Virginia Foote in Spokane, WA. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Arnold Geiss.
