On May 21, 1921 a special gift from heaven was given to Myra and Arno Eckert. This gift was Marjorie F. Eckert.
On January 14, 2013 Marjorie F. (Eckert) Chamberlain returned to heaven to be with God and her beloved family and friends.
Marjorie, Marge, was married to Elmer E. (Gene) Chamberlain on March 15, 1941. Marge had a good life and was blessed with three children, Kristy Ann, Terri Sue and Jeffery (Jeff) Lynn.
Marge was born and raised in Sandpoint. She traveled when she was a small child for a short time to go with the family to find fortune in California. After Marge married Gene, they moved for a brief period to Bonners Ferry to work for the Northern Beverage Company for Marge’s father, Arno. She and Gene purchased the Northern Beverage Company from her father and thus began the career in the beer business. Together they had a successful business and gained many friends over the years.
In later years after selling the business, she went to work at the Bonner County Court House in the Assessors Office until her retirement.
Proceeded in death by her husband of 44 years, Gene; son Jeffrey (Jeff), sister-in-law Gladys Olson, her husband Punk and their son Roger, sister Dorothy, her husband Tom O’Donnell and their daughter Sharon Franklin, brother Al Eckert and his daughter Pam, her parents Arno and Myra Eckert, best friends since childhood Barb and Pat McCrum, many aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, special friends and most recently her cousin Paul (Buck) Kelly.
Marge is survived by her daughter Kristy Chamberlain (Les), Terri (Bob) McPherson and daughter-in-law Gypsy (Scott) Ackerman. Kristy’s children William and Melissa, Terri’s children, Shane (Laura) and Koby (Gavin); Gypsy and Jeff, children Bill, Scott (Sarina), and Chantal (Leo). Gypsy (Scott) later gave birth to Darian.
Marge has 9 great grandchildren Alivia, Nolan, Von, Damian, Braiden, Ryder, Brayden, Catalina and due into the world in February, Preston. Also surviving Marge are her nieces and nephews. John and Karen O’Donnell and family, Sally and Daly Horyna amd family, Kelly and Lori O’Donnell and family, Gwen and Don Kendall and family, Linda Kessler and family, Virginia (Ginny) and Roy Fisk and family, Mary and Bill Fransler and family and Jeff Franklin (Sharon’s husband) and family.
A celebration of life will take place this summer. Persons wanting to make a donation please give to your favorite charity in her name.
