James Everett Montgomery

James Everett Montgomery, 71 of Sandpoint passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Private family services will be held at a later time. He was born Nov. 29, 1941 in Jane Lew, West Virginia the son of Virgil and Rita Montgomery. He was raised and educated in Jane Lew, WV. On July 17, 1958 he married Susan Stutler in Jane Lew. While living in West Virginia he was a glass blower, and gunsmith. In 1971 the family moved to Sandpoint where he worked as a carpenter in home construction. He was a man of many interests. He was an avid musician, enjoyed hunting, fishing, panning for gold, but the love of his life was his wife and family. He is survived by his wife Susan of Sandpoint; 9 children: Angela (Mike) Wooden of Sandpoint, Maria Montgomery of Priest River, ID, James Montgomery of North Dakota, Salena (Robin) Wallace of Sandpoint, Lisa (Tony) Henry of Park Rapids, MN, Carmen (Terry) Bloom of Sandpoint, Damon (Kim) Montgomery of Sandpoint, Charly (Joe) Henry of Park Rapids, MN, Ashley (David) Fortine of Hayden, ID; 33 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; and 1 bother: Virgil Ray Montgomery, JR of Diamond Lake, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents.
