Barbara L. Turner

Barbara L. Turner, 86 of Sagle, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 at Valley Vista. Services will be conducted 2:00PM, Feb. 24, 2013 at her home. She was born Jan. 23, 1927 in McGill, NV the daughter of Philo and Grace Larson Humphrey. She was raised and educated in McGill, NV. On July 24, 1944 she married Raymond O. Turner in Ely, NV. They moved to Sagle in 1957 where they had a farm and also operated the Sandpoint Arco Service Station. Barbara worked as the bookkeeper for the station as well as at the Coast-to-Coast store and was a checker at IGA. She enjoyed her flower garden and, until she lost her sight, crocheting and painting water colors. She is survived by her three sons: Philip Turner of Sagle, Earl (Linda) Turner of Eagle River, AK, Rocky (Julie) Turner of Post Falls; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; her siblings: Nadean Wardal of Sandpoint, JoAnn (Johnny) Hines of CA, Evva (Ron) Shaver of NV, Margie Bohrn of Boise, and Dale (Pat) Buzzetti of HI. She was preceded in death by her husband, father: Joe Buzzetti, mother Grace Buzzetti, 1 brother: Marvel Buzzetti; and 2 sisters: Betty May and Phyllis Williams. The family suggests memorials to the Bonner Community Food Bank in memory of Barbara Turner.
