Kay Dreier, 90, of Sandpoint passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 at Valley Vista Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am, Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Coffelt Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Randy Beal of the Spokane Assembly of God Church, officiating. Viewing will take place at Coffelt Funeral Service, Friday, March 1, 2013 from noon to 5:00PM. Interment will take place in the Paradise Valley Cemetery. She was born Feb. 18, 1923 in Marceline, MO the daughter of William and Fannie Harding Bailey. She moved with her family to Paradise Valley near Bonner’s Ferry, ID when she was 10 years of age. She married William Stover in 1940, she later married Larry Schoenwald in 1944 and in Sept. 1956 she married W.L. “Barney” Dreier in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. She has resided in Sandpoint since that time. Kay worked for many years as a waitress at various eateries, the Copper Penny, Pastime, and at the bus depot. In her later years she loving served as an in home care giver. She was a member of the Sandpoint Assembly of God church since 1956. She loved serving her Lord in various capacities in the church; as a Sunday school teacher, nursery provider, was active in the women’s ministry of the church and often provided transportation to folks unable to make it to church. She loved reading her bible, and spending time in prayer. She was blessed and thus was a blessing using her gift of hospitality. She was also active in the VFW auxiliary. She is survived by two daughters: Joy (Bud) Sinclair of Sandpoint, Su Warren (Dennis Brown) of Ponderay, ID; grandchildren: Dale Rogers, John David (Misty) Ross, April Rogers, Jodae (Al) Ribeiro, Jeremy Daniel Ross, Steven Warren; 5 great grandchildren: Xortia, Ashail, Marissa, Mateja, and Demetrius. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney in 1996, two daughters: Rita Rogers, Marlene Stover, 1 grandson: Michael Ross; and two sisters: Adaline Boylan and Rosemary Norris.
