Joe Hunter Creighton

Joe Hunter Creighton, 86, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho on March 23, 2008. Joe was born in Grand Haven, Michigan on January 16, 1922, the son of John and Clara Creighton. He served, as a PFC, with the US Army, in the European Theatre during WW II. On Nov. 23, 1944 he married Sandra Lorraine Oleson in Sioux Falls, SD. He lived for 40 years in San Diego, CA; working as a manufacturing inspector for the FAA. Following the death of his wife, in 1999, he moved to the Sandpoint area. He is survived by his son Steven (and Elisa) Creighton of Escondido, CA; his daughter Susan (and Lee) Sayers of Cocolalla, ID; and a granddaughter Krysta Creighton of Leucadia, CA. His parents and a brother John Creighton also preceded him in death. The family extends their thanks to the staff and caregivers of The Bridge and Life Care Center of Sandpoint where Joe made his home in Idaho.
