Ralph Lewis Poss, 88, of Sandpoint passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Luther Park.
Ralph was born near Galesville, Wisconsin, on October 31, 1924. He grew up and attended schools in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. After attending college a short time, he served in the Army Air Corps as a pilot during WWII.
Throughout his life, he flew and sold airplanes and worked in various other sales positions. In his later working life, he operated Ralph‘s Originals Jewelry with his wife Barbara who passed away in 2005. He retired to their house near Elmira and then lived at Luther Park in Sandpoint for the last two years. He enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking and gunsmithing and traveling in his RV.
He is survived by his daughter Cherie Wolcott (Frank) in Sierra Vista, Arizona; stepson Dan Fearnow (Merrilee) in Golden, Colorado and Betty Poss of Sandpoint. He had nine grandchildren, including Keely Poss (Ray) of Spirit Lake, Idaho.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, his son Randy, his grandsons Ryan Poss and Jason Robinson, his brother Earl, and his sister Jean Rabuck.
