Genevieve "Jenny" Behmerwohld

Jenny Behmerwohld, 80, died June 8, 2013 at her home in Heron, Montana. Jenny was born September 29, 1932 in Bristol, TN to her parents Bonnie Wood and Waymon McKinney. Jenny married Harry J Behmerwohld June 10, 1950 in Coeur d’ Alene, ID. They make their home in Heron, MT for 63 years. They raised four children; Vernon, Harry Jr, Barbara and Shirley. She always made her family a priority teaching all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren how to swim, garden, crochet, play games and most of all to love one another. She was the matriarch of her family and set a great example for each of us to follow. She enjoyed yard sales, reading, community events, fiddler reunions and especially family gatherings. She spent many years loving her role as a wife, mother and grand mother. She enjoyed getting together with loved ones for card games, dice or even badminton and crochet with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved having family get togethers and even unannounced drop ins. You were certain you would never leave her home hungry. She is preceded in death by her parents, her youngest daughter Shirley Solce and three sisters Betty Behmerwohld, Millie (Louise) Brewer and Edna Pyatt. She is survived by her husband Harry J Behmerwohld of Heron, MT. Three of her children’ Vernon (Sherryl) Behmerwohld of Clarkston, WA, Harry J Behmerwohld JR. of Heron, MT, Barbara (Edward) Calhoun of Rosepine, LA and (Joe Solce) of Heron, MT. One sister Grace (Bill) Syth of Post Falls, ID and one brother David (Glenda) McKinney of Toppenish, WA. And many grandchildren and great Grandchildren from far and near. Services will be held at the Heron Community Center in Heron, MT on Saturday June 15th, 2013 at 11:00 am MST. Pastor Russell Hioover will be the officiate. Please join us to honor her memory and celebrate her life, everyone is welcome to attend, potluck to follow.
