Margaret Lea

Margaret Lea, 85, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho on Monday, April 07, 2008. Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 11th in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel. Pastor Bob Nale, Clark Fork Lutheran Church, will officiate. Margaret was born in Pontefract, England on September 30, 1922. She attended schools in England and during WW II worked in a factory manufacturing parts for the English Lancaster Bombers. In Western Super Mare, England she operated a restaurant and a guesthouse. On Nov. 4, 1954 she married Horace Lea in Western Super Mare, England. In 1957 she came through Canada, moving to Michigan. The family later moved to Sandpoint and purchased the Diamond W Motel. She moved to the Sandpoint area to be close to her family. While living in England she attended the Church of England. She enjoyed dress designing and doing watercolors. Her son John P. Lea in Aikens, SC; 2 grand children Ethan and Kayla and her sister Mabel (and John) Campbell of Sandpoint, ID survive Margaret.
