Skip Spencer

Skip Spencer, 57, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, Aug. 30,at 11:30 AM in the comfort of his home surrounded by friends. Memorial Services will be conducted on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 10:30am at the Venture Christian Church (Venue 2), 16845 Hicks Rd. Los Gatos, CA 95032. Skip was born Dec. 4, 1955 in Detroit, MI to Victor and Betty Spencer. Skip and Laura moved to Sagle in 1989. Skip loved being surrounded by the natural beauty of North Idaho and its friendly people. Skip liked to travel, meet people and experience different parts of the world. Skip will always be remembered as Laura’s Big, Strong, Tough Guy. They shared their lives together for 27 years along with their beloved pets. Skip could talk with anyone. He could break down all barriers and make the conversation “real”. Skip had no agenda. He lived in the moment. He was all about the Happiness factor in life. Skip loved boating, bowling, softball, golf, darts and a good game of horseshoes. He is survived by his wife: Laura Spencer of Sagle, ID; 2 children: Misty Spencer of Texas, Ryan Ellow of Airzona; 3 sisters: Pepper Spivey, Susan Cabral, Jackie Owens all of California; 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
