Daniel Franklin “Dan” Ranney, 76, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho on Monday, May 12, 2008.
Family services will be held later in Omaha, NE.
Dan was born in Norfolk, NE on Aug. 23, 1931 and graduated from high school in Omaha, NE in 1949. He served with the US Coast Guard during the Korean Conflict.
He received his masters Degree and taught shop in Las Vegas, NV for 20 years. He moved to the Sandpoint area in 1998 and was a member of
BPOE # 1376. He enjoyed fishing and was well known as a cabinetmaker.
4 daughters Dianna Farho in CO; Carolyn Ranney in NE; Kathy Burr in NE; and Lisa Ranney in NE; 8 grandchildren; a sister Alice Cox and a brother Mike Bullard survive him.
His parents and his wife Cathy preceded him in death.
