Janice Harriet Lewis, 78, passed away in Sandpoint, ID on Wednesday, May 14, 2008.
The vigil/rosary will be held in St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Thursday, May 29th at 7:00 PM. The Christian memorial mass will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 30th, in St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Inurnment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park with Father Dennis C. Day officiating.
Janice was born on January 12, 1930 in Glendale, CA. She graduated from Jordan High School in Long Beach, CA in 1947. She lived in Long Beach and married Jack D. Anderson and they had 3 children with the marriage ending in divorce.
She continued living in Southern California working in banks, restaurants, and for a commercial printing shop. In April 1996 she moved to Sandpoint and was active as a senior companion. She enjoyed playing Bunco and was known as a “Bunco Babe.” She was active in the Oden Busy Bees and at the Sandpoint Senior Center.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, and the Alter Society.
She is survived by 3 children Christine Vest of Sandpoint; Lori Young of Sandpoint; and Michael Anderson of Gunnison, CO; and
11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Barbara.
