Larry Edward Ham

October 6, 1940 — January 19, 2014

Larry Edward Ham was surrounded by his family, in his home, when he went to be with his Heavenly Father on January 19, 2014. He joined many relatives and friends that he dearly loved who preceded him in death. He was born on October 6, 1940 to parents Ed and Helen Ham in Sandpoint, Idaho. In July of 1960 he married his high school sweetheart, Donna (Connett) Ham. After residing in Moscow, ID for 47 years, Larry and Donna moved to Kennewick, WA in September 2011 to be close to their family. Larry was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving in various callings. He was also a member of the Jaycees, and Lion’s Club. He was a loving, caring husband, father, grandfather and brother. His mission in life was to be of service to others. He loved his family and all people. He never spoke unkindly of others. His enthusiasm for life was contagious and would brighten any gathering with his positive energy. He enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing, hiking, golfing, biking, playing racquetball, watching spectator sports, walking, reading scriptures, and spending time in the outdoors. Larry is survived by his wife, Donna; sons, Jamie and Mark (Vicki); grandchildren, Chelsi (Travis) Foster, Brandon, Mckenzi and Kati; great granddaughter Maci; sister Terri (Don) Albertson; sister-in-law Patricia (Ron) Kruse and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by every person he met because he never knew a stranger and always found a way to love and serve the people he came in contact with. He was preceded in death by his parents. A viewing and a time to greet the family and share memories will be held on January 25, from 9:30 – 11:00 am at the LDS Church, 602 Schweitzer Cut Off Road in Sandpoint, Idaho. A Graveside service will follow at 12:00 pm at the Pinecrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the local LDS Missionary Fund, ldsphilanthropies.org, or to the charity of your choice.
