Doris Marlene Robertson, 79, passed away in Spokane, Washington on Tuesday, January 21, 2014.
Family memorial services will be scheduled later in the spring.
Doris was born on August 5, 1934 in Emu, Kansas the daughter of Walter and Lela Byfield. In 1937 the family moved to Samuels, Idaho near Sandpoint. She attended the 1 room school at Grouse Creek, which had a total of 10 students, and then Sandpoint High School.
She married Sam Robertson on Feb. 3, 1951 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She continued to work on the family farm riding horses and skidding logs with horses. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and canning the vegetables for her family.
She is survived by her children Samantha (Morrel) Mason in Priest River, ID; Nancy L Pederson in Pueblo, CO; Helen Jarvis Duckham in Spokane, WA; Sam Robertson, Jr in Corvallis, MT; Anna Marie Hubert in Deary, ID; her sisters Velma Lund in Samuels, ID and Nita Jarvis in Spokane, WA. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 brothers Bob and Lee.
