Helen Grace Hart passed away February 8, 2014 - resident of Hope, Idaho, but spending the winter in Southern California with family. She is survived by her two daughters, Rena Chaney of Laguna Niguel and Daralie Hamilton (Wayne) of Huntington Beach, three granddaughters; Carren Chaney (Diane Darling), Julie Leonard (Jeff), Dena McSherry (Wayne McEntyre), and one grandson Loren McSherry (Kristie); three great granddaughters, Lacey McSherry, Karina Bradford, and Hope Leonard, and one great grandson James Leonard, two step great grandchildren Cameron and Megan McEntyre; plus three nieces, Marlene Colvin, Jolene Cooley (Gerald), and Mary Hart, and their families all living in the San Diego area. Helen was born on March 15, 1919, in Santa Fe, NM, one of 7 siblings, two surviving (Charles Booth and Lena Reed). She was married to Horace Hart in 1936; married 64 years until his passing in 2000. They lived in New Mexico, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and California, retiring when Helen was 53 to Hope, Idaho, building their retirement home there with a beautiful view of Lake Pend Oreille. They spent 20-some retirement winters exploring and fishing in Baja and many summers exploring, fishing and hunting locally and in Canada, in and above British Columbia. Services will be held in Laguna Hills, CA, at the O’Conner Mortuary chapel February 15, 2014, and she will be interred at the Hope, ID Cemetery by Coffelt Mortuary of Sandpoint ID.
